If you want to study Dentistry and have a university degree, or are in the final year of an undergraduate course, in 2011 and 2012 you can apply for entry into the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) course to begin in 2013.
If you are a school leaver, or do not have a university degree, you can apply to study medicine/dentistry after first completing a 3-year university degree in any area. If you are a school leaver but have an ATAR of 70 or under, then you can prepare for an undergraduate course by successfully completing the Aboriginal Orientation Course.
If you do not have a university degree, are mature aged, and have some other relevant qualification, (such as the Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care), and experience working in a health-related field, you may be eligible to enrol in an intensive 12 month preparatory course to be offered in 2013. Successful completion of this course will prepare you for entry into medicine or dentistry the following year.
In all cases, academic advice and support, and scholarship information will be provided by CAMDH.
