The success and development of this program is dependent on schools and on Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations funding. The first Discovery Day was held in 2000 with 21 students from five schools. Schools have initially been selected due to close proximity and ongoing association with UWA. However, we hope to increase student numbers in future years and make it available to all schools.
